The village of Missillac

Missillac, history and inheritance

Missillac is a village of 4000 inhabitants profoundly marked by history, for example, one of its magnificent jewel : the medieval castle of « Bretesche ».
It’s also a village of manors, 2 of them are visible from the road : the « Roche Herve » and the « Briandais »

The « Récréation » is situated near a church erected in the 19th century on the ruins of the ancient one which remains only a stoup
The 14th century fortified castle of « Bretesche », rebuilt in the 15th century, besieged by « Mercoeur » in the 16th century, destroyed during the Revolution, was rebuilt again during the 19th century.
